Bad news...

Dear Visitor,

due to a horrible time management of mine, I wasnt able to produce anything, which is worth to be shown here. I painted the jacket, of the MG Gunner, ok. But thats no real update, and also not completed, so no new pics.
Furthermore I tried to spray a "Sumpftarn" on the Knochensack. But I failed four times. So I am a little bit destroyed...

Neverthless, next weekend I will show a Update, because I`ll have to work on it. I want to anticipate the German Model Master on 22./23. may at Nuremberg. So I have to finish it before....

auf Grund eines extrem miesen Zeitmanagements habe ich leider nichts geschaft, und kann kein neues Update präsentieren.
Gut, ich habe die Feldbluse des MG-Schützen bemalt, aber die ist auch noch nicht ganz fertig. Deshalb gibt es davon auch noch keine Bilder.
Desweiteren habe ich versucht mit Hilfe meiner Airbrush ein Sumpftarnmuster auf den Knochensack des 3. aufzusprühen. Leider ging das 4 Mal daneben. Deswegen bin ich grad etwas frustriert...

Nichtsdestotrotz werde ich nächstes Wochenende ein Update posten. Ganz einfach weil ich endlich fertig werden muss, da ich an der German Model Master vom 22./23. Mai teilnehmen möchte. Und bis dahin muss ich ja fertig sein. Es bleibt also nciht mehr viel Zeit.

Workbench: Knocked Out T 34/85-Part 7

here is my latest progress. I finished the T 34 to 85%. I have to do some pigment work at the burned areas and the track. To get a more rusted effect. Also the towing cables have to be done. Furthermore I have to add nonfixed pigments to the tank for more dust. But I will do it not yet. First the tank has to be clued fix to the base. Otherwise I have the risk to get fingerprints in the pigment.

If this would happend, I also will rework the mud in the chassis a little to add more different colour tones.
At the base itself I deployed some gras. I will add a second layer of shorter gras to get a more compact effect. The Ammobox will be also reworked. I try to get a nice effect with hairspray. For a really used look of that wooden peace. For that I have to wait untill the oil has dried up!

What I havent done untill know are the burned areas at the armor plates. I am still thinking about how to do them best. We will see...

The next progress steps will take some time. Because of university has started I only can do something at the weekend. So dont expect a further update before Sunday evening, or Monday afternoon.

hier ist der aktuelle Stand. Ich bin mim T 34 zu 85% fertig. Ich muss an den Brandstellen noch mit Pigmenten ran. Auch die Kette muss an dieser Stelle noch farblich angepasst werden. Ebenso die Abschleppseile. Auch muss ich die Verschmutzung mit losem Pigment überarbeiten. Aber das geht erst, wenn der Panzer fest auf die Base verklebt ist, da ich ihn sonst kaum mehr anfassen kann. Dahingehend muss ich dann auch den Dreck im Fahrwerk überarbeiten. Der ist noch zu eintönig. An der Base habe ich ein wenig Gott gespielt und Gras gepflanzt. Ach hier muss ich noch ne 2 Schicht kleineres Gras einarbeiten, dass das alles ein wenig dichter wirkt. Auch die MunKiste wird noch weiter bearbeitet. Dort will ich mit Hilfe von Haarspray eine schön abgeplatzte Lackierung darstellen. Aber da muss erst mal das Öl trocknen. Was ich noch gar nciht behandelt habe ist die Brandstelle. Da muss ich mir noch was überlegen.

Da die Uni diese Woche wieder begonnen hat, werde ich erst mal nur mehr am Wochenende zum basteln kommen. Daher gibt es das nächste Update nicht vor Sonntag Abend, oder Montag in der früh.

Aber hier nun endlich die Bilder. Ich hab mal ne ganze Masse für euch hochgeladen:

here is the progress I made. I reworked the base serveral times. I added a layer of very fine sand for more struktur. After that I sparyed the ground in some different brown tones, like Tam XF 52 and Buff.

Also,ich habe die Base mehrmals überarbeitet. Zuerst habe ich mittels Ponal ne Schicht sehr feinen Sand draufgeklebt, um mehr Struktur zu bekommen. Danach wurde das ganze in mehreren verschiedenen Brauntönen gespritzt. Dies waren Mischungen mit XF 52 und BUFF.

I also finished one figure. Only the head the skin and a light dusting is still missing. I am not to confinced from that figure. But instead of cleaning it again I am looking forward to see how it would look if I add the other figures and the tank.

Auch Figurentechnisch hat sich was getan. Bis auf den Kopf, also die Hautpartien, und einer leichten Verschmutzung ist diese Figur durch. Ich bin mit ihr nicht wirklich zufrieden. Aber bevor ich sie nochmal abwasche, möchte ich erst einmal sehen wie sie im Zusammenspiel mit den anderen Figuren und dem T 34 wirkt.

The short is painted with German Field Grey. The lights are Field Grey+Sunny Skin Tone. Shadows are painted with Dark Grey. The "Knochensack" is painted in German Camouflage Beige and Dark Sand. The green Spots are Luftwaffe Camouflage Green. The brown ones are mixed out of Chocolate Brown and SS Camouflage Medium Brown. The raindrops are Dark Green. All colours are from Vaileo.

Die hose ist mit German Field Grey bemalt. Die Lichter bestehen aus Field Grey+Sunny Skin Tone, Schatten aus Dark Grey.

Der Knochensack ist mit einer Mischung German Camouflage Beige und Dark Sand grundiert. Die Grünen Flecken sind Luftwaffe Camouflage Green, die Braunen bestehen aus einer Mischung von Chocolate Brown und SS Camouflage Medium Brown. Die Regentropfen sind Dark Green. Alle Farbangaben beziehen sich auf Vaileo.

At the T 34 I began with the Chipping. In a further step, I will add some rainmarks. But first I wanted to continue with the chassis.

I am a little firghtend that I`ve overdone with the mud. But I am convinced that I will slove it.

Dont wonder because of the colour of the mud. Its not the finish tone. I will add much more different colour shades if I am shure which colour the base will have.

Wie man sieht habe ich das Chipping aufgetragen. Ich werde es im nächsten Schritt noch verfeinern, und Regenschlieren ergänzen. Ich wollte aber erst mal mit dem Fahrwerk weitermachen.

Ich fürchte, ich habe das etwas übertrieben. Ich werde einfach jetzt dann, den Schlamm wieder etwas abnehmen. Das wird schon. Über die Farbe nicht wundern. Farblich ist noch nichts geschehen. Das kommt erst jetzt dann. Wenn ich mir über den finalen Pigmentton der Base im klaren bin.

Finnlay I am not sure what to do with the Burned area? Did the mud drop of there, because of the enormus heat? Or not? I try to find an answer!

Zum Schluss eine wichtige Frage.

Ich habe keine Schlamm an der Brandfläche aufgebracht. Warum? Na ja, ich denke, dass die massive Hitze dazu geführt hat, dass der Schlamm an diser Stelle ganz einfach vom Panzerstahl abgefallen ist? Weil er durch die Hitze ja extrem rissig... geworden ist? Oder liege ich damit jetzt falsch?

here is my latest Update. I applied the first filter layer on the kit. Its not too heavy, because I want to add two or three further layers:

hier ist mein neuestes Update. Ich habe den ersten Filter aufgebracht. Dieser fiel nicht zu stark aus, da ich noch 2-3 weitere Filter aufbringen möchte. Deshalb ist der Effekt noch nicht soo klar zu erkennen:

Furthermore I worked on the second hit area. On this area the tank burned a little because his internal tank was hitted. I sprayed several different colours on this area, inculding:
Tamiya: XF-1, XF-10, XF-68
Vallejo: 851,956, 829, 845, 911, 947, 915. (These were particular mixed with some others. But I forgot the certain colour numbers):

Desweiteren habe ich am 2. Einschuss gearbeitet. Da an dieser Stelle, durch den Treffer, einer der inneren Tanks Feuer gefangen hat, musste ich Brandschäden darstellen. Dazu sprühte ich verschiedene Farbtöne übereinander, bis ein stimmiges Bild erreicht war.
Die verwendeten Farben waren:
Tamiya: XF-1, XF-10, XF-68
Vallejo: 851,956, 829, 845, 911, 947, 915. (Diese wurden teilweise noch mit anderen gemischt. Wie genau, weiß ich allerdings nicht mehr):



Finnally the base. I dont know if I shouldnt change something. Due to less added plaster the surface seems to be too napless. Also I dont know if the racks should confince me, or not?

I used the following materials for it:

Moltofil filler, ground coffee, plaster, casein clue and schmicke pigments for the colour. The ammunation box is from Jaguar. The base itself is from www.sockelshop.de. Its out of mahagohni and I admire that beautiful work. The best base I`ve ever seen!

Zum Schluss der aktuelle Stand der Base. Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, ob ich sie so lassen werde. Sehen die Risse gut aus? Vor allem ist das trotz der beigefügten Erde nicht zu glatt geraten?

Verwendet wurden: Molotfil, Kaffepulver, Schmicke Pigment, Weißleim und Erde. Die Munitionskiste ist von Jaguar.

Beim Sockel handelt es sich um ein wirklich wunderbares Mahagohniexemplar von www.sockelshop.de ! Nur zu empfehlen, der schönste Sockel, den ich je gesehen habe!

So, for this I dont really know how to continue. Due to my lack of experience in this technic I dont know if I should add even more lights. Or if I forgot something? So I will take a little break to think about it, and hope that I will be able to provide the next Update on sunday.

So, nun weiß ich nciht so recht, wie ich weitermachen soll. Auf Grund fehlender Erfahrung mit dieser Technik, weiß ich nicht ob ich nicht noch zusätzliche Lichter hinzufügen soll. Oder ob ich was vergessen habe? Deswegen werde ich eine kleine Pause einlegen, um darüber nachzudenken. Ich hoffe, dass ich das nächste Update bis zum Sonntag fertig habe.

I am glad to provide you a new Update. I started to paint the T 34 in the so called "colour modulation" technic. For that, the T 34 got first a preshade in black and dark sand (Tam XF 60). That was a strange feeling to paint such large areas of the model in black. You are allways thinking about, that it wont work. Really strange feeling! I`ve never done it before!
But here is the pic:

hier ist mein neuestes Update. Ich habe damit begonnen den T 34 in der "Colourmodulation" Technik zu bemalen. Dafpr habe ich den T 34 mit schwarz und dark sand ( Tam XF 60) vorschattiert. Man war das ein dummes Gefühl ein Modell so großzügig mit schwarz zu behandeln. Ich hab das vorher nie gemacht....^^

Aber hier nun das Bild:






After that I sprayed a first layer of green on it:

Danach kam die erste Schicht grün:




You can recognize a first suptile effect of that technic! After that I lightened the green more and more with Buff and white.

Man kann die ersten, feinen Effekte der Technik sehen! Anschliesend habe ich das Grün immer mehr mit Buff und Weiß aufgehellt:

I think the first steps are done. Today I will highlight the details, like the exhaust or the command cuppola. Also the sights and such things. Furthermore I am also not sure if I shouldnt add a further, even more light green tone on the large armor plates?

So die ersten Schritte sind gemacht. Heute werde ich die Details betonen, wie die Auspuffabdeckung oder die Kommandantenkuppel. Ebenso die Periskope und solche Sachen. Außerdem bin ich nicht sicher, ob ich nicht eine weitere, noch hellere Schicht grün auf die größeren Panzerplatten sprühen sollte?
